Thank you for your interest in registering for athletic programs at Shelbyville / Shelby County Parks!  We provide a fun, safe and family friendly competitive learning experience for our players, coaches and families.  Encouraging community involvement, promoting good sportsmanship and instilling a sense of pride of the park system.  We have many different sports for your children and we have sports for adults too including:

Current Youth & Adult Sports Open 

FALL ADULT COED VOLLEYBALL  SIGNUPS begin on September 1, 2025. The fee is $300 plus 6% tax, $318. You must bring a team to play but if you call 633-5059 and ask for Athletics we can take your information and have someone call you if a team needs a player. The season is tentatively  scheduled to begin on October 15, 2024. Sign ups for this league are only available by calling 633-5059 and asking for Geralyn or coming to the front desk of the FAC.

GIRLS WINTER VOLLEYBALL SIGNUPS begin on September 1, 2024. Elementary League begins at age 9 or 3rd – 5th grade. Middle School League is 6th-8th grade. The fee is $100.70 which includes a jersey, 8 games and a tournament with trophies for 1st place and runner-up only. Tentative start date is December 9th. Elementary League plays on Monday nights, Middle School on Thursdays. Practice could be either Saturdays between 9:00am- 1:00pm or Wednesdays between 6:00-8:00pm. All of our coaches are volunteers so they pick the practice day/time that works best for them. Practice requests cannot be honored and the Middle School League is put together based on evaluation so we do not take player requests for that league. The deadline is October 14, 2024.

YOUTH BASKETBALL SIGNUPS begin on September 1, 2024. The age groups are as follows: PreK-Kindergarten, ages 3 & 4/5 & 6. Games are played on Friday nights with a 20 minute practice and then a 40 minute game with two 20 minute halves. The fee for PreK-K is $68.90 which includes a jersey,  8 games and a participation award. 1st-2nd grade basketball games are played on Saturday mornings. Practices are on weeknights. The fee is $100.70 which includes a jersey, 8 games, a tournament and first place and runner-up trophy. 3rd-4th, 5th-6th and 7th-9th age groups are played on Saturdays. Practices will be on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. All of our coaches are volunteers so they pick the practice day/time that works best for them. Practice requests cannot be honored. All of the 3rd-4th, 5th-6th teams are put together by draft so player requests cannot be honored. There will be a player evaluation before teams are put together. The fee for these age groups is $100.70 which include a jersey, 8 games,  a tournament, a fist place and runner-up trophies. The deadline is October 14, 2024. Tentative stat date is December 14, 2024.

FUTSAL SIGNUPS begin on September 1, 2024. The ages are 5 – 13, cannot turn 14 during the season. Practices are either Fridays after 5:30 or Sundays after 2:00 with games being on Saturdays after 1:30. The fee is $100.70 for all age groups and includes a jersey, 8 games and a tournament with a first place and runner-up trophy.  The deadline is October  21, 2024. Tentative start date is December 14, 2024.

We are always looking for Coaches for all of our sports leagues. Coaches do not pay a fee for their child to play and pick their own practice day and time.

WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS UNLESS THERE IS A MEDICAL REASON OR THE PLAYER IS MOVING OUT OF THE COUNTY.

NOTE: If registration is received after deadline date, a late fee could be charged as additional costs are associated with last minute season prep including uniforms, admin costs, etc.   Refunds are given on a case by case situation and are not guaranteed.
