Mini Parks
Shelbyville/Shelby County Parks & Recreation is fortunate to have mini parks within the community. Through out the city of Shelbyville these small parks offer a venue for youth and adults to exercise, play basketball, play on a playground, launch a canoe, wet a fishing line or have a picnic right out their back door. Below is a list of the mini-parks, locations and a brief description.
Mini Parks:
Mose Dale – This park is located at 212 Lee Nor Mack. It has a playground and is 1.5 acres.
James Burnett – This park is located at 1310 Thorn Avenue. It has a playground and picnic area and is 3 acres.
Elmo Head – This park is located at 800 3rd Street. It has a basketball court, canoe launch and fishing access to Clear Creek and is 3.5 acres.
Greenway Park – This park is located at 10 East Main. It has a shelter and picnic area, green space, fishing access and canoe launch and is 4 acres.
Stratton Bottom – This park is located at 131 Washington Street. It has baseball, softball and soccer practice fields, canoe launch and fishing access and is 5.57 acres.
