Friendly Safety Reminder: All pool deck areas and locker room floors are slippery at all times, especially when wet. Please use extra caution.
Please note that proper swim attire is required. (Swim Suits and/or Swim Trunks. No cut off jeans or sweats, gym shorts, colored and/or dyed t-shirts, etc)

Indoor Pool
Welcome to the indoor pool at the Family Activity Center! The pool has become extremely popular with our members and visitors. The pool is used for lap swimming and open swim as well as our local high school swim teams from Shelby County and Collins High Schools, the Shelbyville Branch of Lakeside Swim Club and the summer fun league Shelbyville Stingrays. The heated 8 lane 25 yard pool is perfect for exercising, swim lessons, or some watery fun during our long open swim hours. The depths range from four feet to eleven feet at the diving end. The pool area features a diving board and ample lounging chairs.
For the smaller children there is a children’s pool in the same area. The depths here are two feet to three feet six inches. Connected to this pool is a fiberglass Frog Slide! Children enter the pool by sliding down the frog’s tongue.

FAC Outdoor Pool
The FAC outdoor pool is open Memorial Weekend through Labor Day each year. Featuring zero depth entry, multiple spray features and fountains, a large water slide, and ample seating, lounge chairs and shade, it offers a great way to cool off during those hot summer months and is available to rent for evening private pool parties after hours. Funbrella rentals are also available during open hours for birthday parties or other functions. The outdoor pool also offers restrooms, showers, changing facility, and a concession stand. Outdoor Pool Hours in August (Date TBA) will be reduced Mon – Fri after Shelby County Schools return to session. Weekends will remain normal hours.
Lamar Forest the Outdoor Frog Slide – Named after Forest Reents, a young boy who loved the frog.
