Youth and Adult Sports!

Thank you for your interest in registering for athletic programs at Shelbyville / Shelby County Parks!  We provide a fun, safe and family friendly competitive learning experience for our players, coaches and families.  Encouraging community involvement, promoting good sportsmanship and instilling a sense of pride of the park system.  We have many different sports for your children and we have sports for adults too including:

Current Youth & Adult Sports Open 

Spring Soccer sign-ups will begin on January 1, 2024. The age groups are as follows. Pee Wee 4-6 years old, (cannot turn 7 during the season). The fee for this age group is $68.90, which includes a jersey, socks, shorts, 8 games and a participation award. U8 6-8 years old,
(cannot turn 9 during the season); U10 9-10 years old, (cannot turn 11 during the season); U13 11-13 years old, (cannot turn 14 during the season. An evaluation for U8 and U10 will take place after the deadline, you will receive a phone call  from someone in the Athletic Department regarding your day and time. The fee for these age groups is $100.70 which includes, a jersey, socks, shorts, 8 games and a tournament. Trophies will be given to the Campions and Runner-up teams only.
The deadline is February 26, 2024.

Spring Baseball sign-ups will begin on January 1, 2024. Instructional (Coach Pitch) 6-younger 8 year olds, Minor League (older 8 year olds-younger 10 year olds), Major League (older 10 year olds-12 year olds). The fee for these age groups is $100.70, which includes a jersey, hat, at least 12 games and a league tournament. Trophies will be given to the Champion and Runner-up teams. The deadline is March 4, 2024. An evaluation for these age groups will take place. You will receive a phone call from someone in the Athletic Department regarding your day and time. All teams are put together by draft. Siblings will be drafted to the same team.

TBall sign-ups will begin on January 1, 2024, the deadline will be March 18, 2024 as practices will not begin until late April and games will begin after Memorial Day. The age groups are as follows. 3-4 year olds, (cannot turn 5 during the season). This age group will hit off of a tee. 5-6 year olds (cannot turn 7 during the season). This age group is coach pitch. The fee is $68.90, which includes a jersey, hat, 8 games and a trophy.

Girls Fastpitch sign-ups will begin January 1, 2024. The age groups are as follows. U8 and  U10 . A U12 league will be offered but will depend on the number of players that sign-up. The fee for these age groups is $100.70, which includes a jersey, socks, 10  games and a tournament for all age groups.  The deadline is March 4, 2024.

LYFL Football sign-ups for returning players will begin on February 1, 2024. The fee is $137.80 for first player, $106 for each sibling. Sign-ups for new players will begin on March 1, 2024. The same fees apply. The ages as of now are 6-11 cannot turn 12 after May 1, 2024.
We will offer Flag Flag football for 5 year old’s and younger 6 year old’s if we have enough interest. Concussion helmet will be loaned to the player, dry fit jersey and flags will be provided.  The fee will be $116.60. Eligible coaches player plays free. Cheer sign-ups for LYFL Football are going on now. Ages are 5-12. The fee is $106 and includes a skirt and top. Practices will be on Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Must come to the front lobby of the FAC and fill out the official LYFL registration form. Deadline is April 1, 2024.

Girls Summer Volleyball Sign-ups will begin on March 1, 2024. We will offer an Elementary League, 3rd-5th grade. A Middle School League 6th-8th grade. The fee is $100.70 which includes a jersey, 8 games and a tournament. The deadline is April 8, 2024.

We are always looking for Coaches for all of our sports leagues. Coaches do not pay a fee for their child to play and pick their own practice day and time.

WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS UNLESS THERE IS A MEDICAL REASON OR THE PLAYER IS MOVING OUT OF THE COUNTY.

NOTE: If registration is received after deadline date, a late fee could be charged as additional costs are associated with last minute season prep including uniforms, admin costs, etc.   Refunds are given on a case by case situation and are not guaranteed.
